Yamoments: Heart's Desires

In the Yamoment blog series, I'd like to invite you to take a moment for mindfulness and reflection. I add some picture qoutes, new ideas I am learning and bible verses I find along the way.

Have fun!

Stay in the moment and enjoy the mindful living.

Lately, I've been into a lot of stress.  There are several things running in my thoughts.  I have an ending schedules to attend, plans and goals to meet.  Plus the daily activities that requires more attention and focus.  I paused and took a deep breath.  I slowed down and did some inventory of all the things that I am doing and why I am doing it.  I found fears and anxieties in my heart.  Then I passed by this scripture, "Do what the Lord wants and he will give you your heart's desire.-Psalm 37:4".  God really speaks to me in extraordinary way.  I just need to listen to Him.  Make some time to pause and listen to anything He wants to tell me.

And I surrender everything to HIM.  I entrust my dreams to HIM.  And delighted because He will guide me to be the person HE created to be me.

Happy Monday!!

Yamoments: Oh Yes I can

In the Yamoment blog series, I'd like to invite you to take a moment for mindfulness and reflection. I add some picture qoutes, new ideas I am learning and bible verses I find along the way.

There are lots of instances in my life that I believe I can’t make it.  Getting the confidence and courage is so hard to achieve.  One of this is facing up temptations.  If you’re reading my blogs, you will fell that I am a goal-oriented person.  I have a lot of goals and yet It’s so hard for me to stick with it because of my own weaknesses to challenges.

And upon reading Joyce Meyer’s Promises for Your Everyday Life, she assured me that I can beat temptations.  I just have to be ready when I am tempted.

She said, I am right! I can’t face my struggles alone, with my own ability and strength.

I agree with her.  I just have to do five things to overcome temptations for not achieving my goals.

  1. I got to be wise. Choices and consequences must be looked ahead.
  2. I have to believe that I can.  Negative thoughts can loose their power if we stop them early but if we keep rolling in our mind they are hard to stop.
  3. Think that temptation is just part of normal life. Always expect fight and be ready.
  4. Avoid areas of weaknesses.  Don’t get in any situations that I can easily fall.  Example, never go with people who always talk about their people so I can avoid making useless/negative judgement to the topic person.
  5. Don’t give yourself too much credit. It’s easy to feel that we are matured enough with struggle.  We became righteous in our own thinking.  Oh oh!!!  And that’s the point of being an easy target.  We have that huge assumption of being strong which became our weakest point.

And I reflected on this passage “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind.  And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.  But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”-1 Cor 10-13

Just lean on HIS strength and trust on His promises, there is no temptation I can overcome.

I remember also Fr. Alex Balatbat’s sermon last Sunday about guarding our heart to temptations.  He said, “Own it and have power over it.  Allow Jesus, his love and presence embrace us.”

Oh Yes I can do it!

How about you?  How do you resist temptations?

Have a great day ahead!

Have you ever experience the moment in your life that you refuse to help others because you are afraid to be judged? You have fear of being rejected or misinterpreted?

Sometimes we encounter those moments of doubts because we put boundaries on reaching out to someone who might be in need of LOVE.  Most of the time we became selfish because we made impression to the person around us.  We first judged them or we assumed that they don’t need help because they are stronger or capable than us. Or sometimes we have some bitterness in us.

Most of us are deadma(no-concern).

We may never know, they are hiding their feelings or situations.  Why don’t we reach out?  Why don’t we open our arms and make them feel that there is somebody they can lean on?

Why don’t we act out our love?  Set it free, share the love that we have for our self.

The world is desperate in need of much LOVE, we have to show it, spread it and act it.

Don’t be shy! Give out God’s love, now!

Yamoments: We are What We Think.

In the Yamoment blog series, I'd like to invite you to take a moment for mindfulness and reflection. I add some picture qoutes, new ideas I am learning and bible verses I find along the way.

We become what we think.

It is the same way as, we are what we read and we are what we eat.  Anything that we put within ourselves will be what we are.  It is a given situation, right?  One thing that is more important is what we put in our minds.  Many times the problems we face have a lot to do with our thoughts and attitudes.  For example,  if we think we are poor.  Yeah, we will be poor forever.  Because we will not find anything to solve our poverty.  Motivation will get lost due to wrong acceptance.  But if we believe that we can pay our huge debt.  Easily we can find ways how to do it because we have intentions.  And that is another given situation.

In a simple way, a negative, critical, suspicious or judgements mindset can cause a person to mistreat others because we are expecting them to be unfair, rude or disagreeable in some way.  We often judge others with one failure he made.  We live in a wrong notion just because can't control our thoughts of judgement.   And it is very human nature.  We are really like that.

In this series, I'd like you to join me as I reflect with this passage, "Your love must be real.  Hate what is evil.  Do only what is good."-Romans 12:9

Do only what is good. Repeat it many times in a day for us to maintain and bring back the good in us. And here is our guide to make our love sincere.

Never stop practicing and sharing LOVE.  Because in the eyes of GOD we are LOVE.

Happy Feb-ibig!

Stability is an awesome attitude.  It makes us a peaceful, dependable and productive no matter what situation may be.  It keeps us being on an emotional roller coaster but firm and focused despite the circumstances around us.  We are becoming content whatever our condition is and we are being able to keep moving with ease and grace whenever life throws a curve ball.

The only thing we can gain stability is through meditation.  Realizing our inner strength, with the help of the Holy Spirit, make us find the stability of our mind and emotions.  Studying God’s Words and putting it into practice can lead us into our focus of attaining our stability.

Be stable in God’s love and focus on building a relationship with Him.  Because if we follow God’s way we are like a tree planted by a stream-a tree that produces fruit when it should and has leave that never fall.(Psalms 1:3)

Be Stable!

Sometimes, we feel frustrated with the slow progress of making our life.  We are in a hurry with the the timetable we set for our life goals and dreams.  Did we not realize that God's time is always on perfect timing.  He uses our journey to prepare ourselves to success.  He develops our character for the life He planned for us.

Great persons grow through challenges and struggles; storms and seasons of suffering.

Just be patient with the process.

Remember how far you've come, not just how far you have to go.  You are not where you want to be but neither are you where you used to be.-Rick Warren

Keep moving forward, even the snail reached the ark by PERSEVERING.

Be Patient, the best is yet to come!
